Band Scope and Vision
We are a not-for-profit group of volunteers from across Alberta, united by our shared passion for music, tradition, and the RCMP’s enduring legacy. The RCMP Pipes & Drums Band proudly performs at events across the province and beyond, bringing a sense of pride, history, and celebration wherever we go.
The band’s uniform is a striking combination of the iconic RCMP scarlet tunic paired with the McLeod tartan kilt, a visual representation of the deep connection between the RCMP and Alberta’s culture. Our members strive for excellence in every performance, upholding the highest standards of dress, deportment, and musical discipline.
The band participates in many community events and parades as well as formal RCMP functions. Members have traveled to Hong Kong for the Chinese New Year Celebrations, the Halifax Tattoo and Victoria (BC) Military Music Festival. The band has also played for Royalty, the Premier of Alberta and Senior Government Officials. We have supported the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, United Way and Northern Alberta Brain Injury Society.
